Balıkesir University 60+ Refreshment University Registrations Begin Learn at Every Age, Refresh at Every Age

The second meeting of the 60+ Refreshment University Project, implemented in collaboration between Balıkesir University (BAÜN) and the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services of the Republic of Turkey, was held.

The meeting, chaired by Balıkesir University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Satıl and the Provincial Director of Family and Social Services of the Republic of Turkey, Emine Böçkün, was attended by the Refreshment University Coordinator Dr. Aslı Gözde Akış, Dr. Ayşe Gülay Şahan, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sevde Aksu, Dr. Güliz Şahin, officials from the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services, and the project team.

The meeting focused on the Refreshment University's promotional activities, registration process, courses to be offered, and the division of tasks within both institutions to ensure the regular, effective, and efficient delivery of elderly care and welfare services in line with national aging policies and the United Nations' goals for active and healthy aging.

The 60+ Refreshment University aims to support older individuals in preserving and developing their knowledge, skills, and abilities, and in leading a better life.
