With the goal of lifelong learning, the 60+ Refreshment University has brought a new dimension to adult education in Türkiye; today, it is a significant institution offering lifelong learning opportunities to older individuals. Lifelong learning acknowledges that individuals can acquire diverse knowledge, skills, and experiences at every stage of life, and that they possess the potential to maintain and develop their existing capabilities.
In the 60+ Refreshment University's model of adult education, the knowledge, skills, and attitudes that older individuals develop and acquire in classes are a result of the lifelong learning process. Simultaneously, the university aims to increase the life satisfaction and quality of life of older individuals through education and interaction, broaden their individual interests, enhance social relationships, and guide them towards an active life. The goal is for each Refreshment student to graduate after a four-year education program encompassing health, social, sports, arts, and skills training.
