BAÜN 60+ “The Right Use of Medical Plants” Seminar Home

Within the scope of Science Café activities carried out in coordination of Higher Education Board (YÖK), the University of Balıkesir (BAÜN) 60+ Freshing University Coordinator of Health Sciences Faculty Gerontology Department work union “The Right Use of Medical Plants ” The seminar was held.

Atatürk Congress and Culture Center at the event held in Malazgirt Hall, BAÜN Vice Rector and Faculty of Science-Edebiyat Faculty Professor. Dr. Fatih took place as a speaker for sale. The seminar attended students from BAÜN 60+ Freshening University Coordinatorship, Faculty of Health Sciences, Gerontology Department, 60+ Freshing University students and Gerontology Department.

At the seminar Prof. Dr. Fatih Satıl informed about the effects of medical plants used in tradition and complementary medicine applications, the right methods of use and risks that unconscious consumption can be created. Satıl discusses the importance of collecting, storing, preparation and consuming appropriate quantities of medicinal plants, especially considering that herbal products used in advanced ages can interact with medicines.

The participants were highlighted in the seminar, where they were interested in herbal products that are often used in everyday life, the importance of achieving conscious plant use and reliable health information.
